mobile lcd arm
I am used to using dual LCD. . .
Sadly, 27 inch was added (ultra wide)
On my computer desk, I don\'t have more room for a second monitor, at least if it looks like you really need an extra table.
I want a stand-alone LCD stand but can\'t find it with less than $200 tax.
I looked around my office and decided to make one with what was around me. . .
What you need: 1-LCD arm (old)1 -
15X11 bamboo chopping board 4-
Caster wheel 4 inch (
Spare parts, with a metal bracket)4 -3/8 Nuts 8 -
Optional: 3/8 wood drill bit for 5 minutes, 3/8 floor washer no trace drilling.
Epoxy gum sugar starts with the crazy fact that the bamboo chopping board has 3 layers and can withstand a maximum of about 7 tons (
According to specifications. )
Talk about almost indestructible. . . (
At least for the office environment. )
The wheels of casters are commercial grade and can withstand 110 kg (~240 lbs)each wheel.
The LCD arm weighs about 5 kg and supports 14 kg LCD. . .
I originally wanted to use the weight of the pot Bell of 11 kg as a weight but didn\'t need it :)
I have a bamboo chopping board of 15X11 inch.
So, I decided to measure 2 inch of the area on the edge of the board.
Find the center of the corner square.
Bring your drill bit and drill a 3/8 hole in the center.
Repeat to all corners. . .
The wheels of the casters have a pole of 3/8 by 1 inch (approx. )
So, I have to find 3/8 nuts and washers for \"rough.
Fine lock nut can also work. . .
Be sure to try on the nuts and washers to make sure they are the correct model. . .
Make sure you have: casters> washers> bamboo> washers> nut washers for support!
Make sure you have a \"lock\" in front of your casters wheels \".
I asked two people to jump this. It didn\'t break. . .
Lock your wheel before you do something else so you don\'t have to chase it in the room.
I had to add some extra wood to the arm for proper installation and I also added about 5 minutes.
Epoxy resin for nuts. (not needed)
Install the LCD monitor according to the LCD arm instruction, you are done!
You can move it anywhere you need or take it with you.
Next: I will add a 35 inch extension tube to the LCD arm.
Then I can see the monitor even when I stand up. . .
